I experienced horrible customer service because I could not provide sufficient evidence of purchasing a Brand-New $75 64-oz Jug of Diablo Wheel cleaner that started leaking while still in its cellophane wrapper. They would not replace it. Mind you, I have been a long-standing customer who has spent thousands of dollars on their products over the past 12 -13 years. NO MORE! I will no longer give these cretins another red cent!
Bought a combo leather cleaning/conditioner product online. Took a while to get them when I opened the box very strong chemical smell. Turned out Conditioner had leaked and outer zip back had 2' tear. Tried to get return confirmation for them, and kept waiting for a code to be sent. tired 3 times. Then told them of the odor when opening box and didn't want to use product in my car. Wound up jumping thru multiple hoops and turns out my 'agent' was AI. Long story short, I'm eating the product and wont use. Don't trust the chemistry. And they are not BBB registered BTW. I just found out why. My advice, stay away from online purchases and return attempts. I complete nightmare.
Their website said I would receive 35% off if i provided my email which i did, and received an email stating “You’re in. Unlock 35% Off Now. After adding two items to cart it would not provide the promised discount. After chatting with a rep and even providing screenshot clearly showing the above promised discount they would not honor it. Instead claiming it was only UP TO 35% which clearly isn’t what the email shows. Nothing in the email mentions Up to 35% it clearly says unlock 35% off now. I don’t have time for misleading advertising as there are too many other reputable companies to do business with. Would not recommend Chemical Guys to anyone.
Same story as others - the customer service is TERRIBLE. I ordered Dec 2 and, like the last few reviews said, didn't ship out Dec 12, now it is lost in an Amazon shipping warehouse. I tried calling Chemical Guys and no matter what option you choose, no one answers and it automatically hangs up on you after 2 minutes. Tried emailing AND chat - only get AI responses that claim they will escalate to someone else.
Atrocious. All I can say about the company. I certainly hope the products are decent, and well worth the wait. Both Car Candy and ACP had products at my house within three days. This has been a week, no shipment updates. The website says 1-3 days, so I asked about cancelling the order because it exceeded their time range and was told that cancellations are not possible and I can wait for it, then ask for a refund.... like I would trust that. (ha!). When pushed for a day for it to ship, I was told that Black Friday and Cyber week had them behind (3 weeks after) and they couldn't provide a date. Essentially I was told "you're getting it, want it or not. And you'll get it when you get it."
Ordered on December 2nd. Gave them some time due to holiday. Started inquiring after a week. Only response was AI generated. Today is the 14th and supposedly it’s coming today. They use Amazon shipping even when it’s from the website. Which makes it difficult to track. I will never order anything from their website and frankly I would think twice about their products after research. The sad thing is they ship from somewhere less than two hours away from me. But they are so poorly ran that they can’t even get the orders out in a timely manner or respond to customers.
Careful ordering from Chemical Guys. I ordered $48 worth of items, and never received anything. Where I live, packages are delivered to a secure, fobbed room, that is covered by security cameras, so its unlikely that my package was grabbed by a porch pirate. Repeated attempts to contact them have all but failed.
When we talk about chemicals, the Chemical guy's customer service is toxic. As of date they are unable to fullfill my order in a timely manner - it still has not shipped after 5 days. Their customer service will not cancel the order as they said it is in process but they have no clue where in process. I requested that the 15% restocking fee be waived when I return the merchandise as by the time I get it I will have to buy product at a local store or on Amazon. Their customer service gave me LIP service that they will put in a request regarding the waiving of the fee when the time comes that I return the items. And they said they can't transfer the call to a manager to get confirmation on the waiving. So what customer service is this? They were incompetent and condescending. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR SITE. I guess if you like their product get it from Amazon or Wal-Mart. At least you will get the product with no headaches and can return without fees if it becomes a sh*t show that it apparently is. I understand why they have 1/5 stars. I usually do not write bad reviews on-line but try to handle the issue with a manager, but with the toxic chemical guys, this was not possible
It’s been over a week since I placed my order, and they haven’t even started preparing it yet. Their website mentions 1-3 business day delivery - what a joke. Customer service was polite, but absolutely useless. I will not be buying anything through their website, especially considering that you have to PAY return shipping and restocking fee.
