Great service and highly recommendable !!

I am really happy to have had a great experience with getcracking for relocating my household items from Cork, Ireland, to Rome. I had my items (200 kg) packed in packing bags (15 kg each) in Cork and it was collected and palletized. I received the package two weeks later at my new home in Rome. A forklift was used to unload the package and place it in a convenient location very close to the house. The customer service is excellent and very responsive. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend getcracking to anyone looking for relocation services.

I'm not sure what standard of service is provided by this business however, the posts from this business's Instagram are tasteless and deplorable...A recent initiative between Sligo Rovers and Down Syndrom Ireland was covered on RTÉ's Instagram and the smart alec behind this business thought that is would be brilliant to post the following comment: "Is Irish foothball not bad enough already".I think people should know that about this business.

I strongly recommend against using…

I strongly recommend against using their services. We scheduled them for our office move on a Friday, but they failed to show up. After numerous phone calls, they finally completed the job on Saturday. They insisted on full payment upfront, and despite us complying, they still let us down. I will never use them again.

We found this company very satisfactory - they packed all our goods carefully and delivered them to Spain in the same weekCosts were a little higher than expected but all in all a good service

Unhappy with the service

Unhappy with the service of this moving company. On the day of the move arrival time was good however pace of work was extremely slow. We had everything wrapped however drivers slowly re-wrapped many items (at an additional charge). We had little to be loaded but it took almost the full two hours to load. The drive to the second location is approx 8 MINUTES, with good traffic on the day of the move. My husband left at the same time as the drivers but when they had not arrived within a long time of my husbands return I called to see if they were lost. I found that the drivers phone was off and started to get concerned. Finally I reached them to be told that they were broken down and that I should have received a call from the office to inform me – I DID NOT. They said they may need one of their colleagues to come out to repair the van or something along those lines but made it sound like we would be hours delayed. I rang the office to discuss and they knew nothing about the breakdown. I was really unhappy with the level of service on the phone and said I do not want to be charged for these delays, I said in fact for the inconvenience and lack of communication and my time being wasted there should be no additional charge. I missed a return call but then spoke to someone who confirmed there wont be an additional charge, I repeated this and said so my bill is paid in full I wont owe any more to which they said YES. When the drivers did arrive they were drinking coffee so also had a break during this time. I was surprised days later to then receive an invoice for 2 additional hours including €7 plus vat for Sellotape! They did not work an extra 2 hours and myself and my husband helped unload the items. The drivers also confirmed no extra charge when leaving. After receiving the invoice, I explained that I had been told there would be no extra charge and the staff would not accept this. It is unacceptable to go back on an agreement your staff made. I am not happy with how I was treated both on the day and the subsequent hounding including multiple calls and emails. I have repeated what I have been told, I was told the bill was paid in full due to issues of service on the day.

A1 removal company.

Booking the removal was very easy and staff were helpful and flexible. On the day, the movers were friendly and flexible and very careful with our stuff. Highly recommendable removal company.

Moving to UK

The owner of the company came to our house and had a look at what was to be moved overseas to the UK. Completely under estimated the volume of contents within the house. On the morning of packing when the van arrived I said to the driver that no way the house contents would fit into that size van but he said we can be surprised how much they get in. Packing team and admin team were lovely and polite and nothing was a problem until the packers tried to ring their boss after hrs to explain the van was too small. He wasn't interested. Not what I call customer care!! When unpacking stuff we found a pillow in a box with a broken plastic Drawer which was for the skip outside. Alot of stuff that came wasn't meant to, so took up unnecessary room. We had to leave stuff behind that was sentimental and caused great upset on our boat journey where we received an invoice for the other half of contents that were not allowed for and given 2 hrs to pay it, we were half an hr into a 3.5 hr sailing.So turned out nearly double the quote. We managed to get someone to let the company into the house to Collect remainder that arrived 10 days later. Overall packing could have been a little better and there was huge waste on paper and bubble wrap. When I spoke to the owner he tried to put the fault on my mother saying she hadn't been very clear on what was coming.
