The person who responded to my emails was fine. They did seem, however, to insinuate that I did not read the Welcome Kit correctly. PLEASE NOTE—Additional barcodes do NOT give you the discount you get with your $8 tapes. They are $17.99 each. The Welcome booklet states “there are no FURTHER discounts” when what they mean is that you won’t get ANY discount. Lots of emails later, they “gave” me a $5 discount for the 20 extra barcodes I used. I will use a local company in the future, staffed by Autistic individuals, who do a fantastic job, even putting items into folders, labeling, and sectioning videos if you wish.
While was unsure of sending my memories I made the leap. I am so glad I did. The process is so simple, they kept me informed at all times of where my videos were and when I would recieve them back. I finally watched some and it was amazing. Those precious memories were wasting away on vhs tapes and now my grandchildren can see their parents when they were kids. I recently lost my mom and she was on so many of the videos. Quality wasn't like digital but I didn’t expect it to be as they were 37 year old tapes and not stored properly. I was amazed at how good the quality was and I have so many more tapes to still send. They have great sales and I will be taking advantage of one real soon.
Received the box to mail my tapes to them quickly. Turn around time is a little longer than expected from some of my previous dealings.I mailed a few boxes in December and was surprised to receive them back as fast as I did. So far the digital work has been good. I recommend using this company but also look for deals to save money.
Highly professional in boxing, shipping and status updates. I trusted them with my cherished family 16mm and 8mm film reels and they were returned safely and packaged better than I sent them. I would not hesitate in the least using their services again. Highly recommended.
I discovered some great movies on reels while organizing my mom's house, and my husband recommended the company after hearing about it on a podcast. I decided to go with them, but I wish I had done more research. They did a fantastic job digitizing the movies and audio tapes I sent, but unfortunately, the audio was not included with the reel-to-reel films. While it's great to watch the videos, I now have to send them to another service for audio digitization. I had already paid for the service before realizing that audio wasn't an option. If they can digitize the film, they should also include the audio. If you want a complete video experience with sound, consider looking for a service that offers both!
I placed an order for a service on 12/15/2025 to have it delivered by Christmas. Now it's 12/31/2025, and I still haven't received it. I've reached out to the support team four times (four phone calls) to address the issue, only to learn that my order was never shipped. While the company acknowledges the problem and assures me they will fix it, I've faced multiple revised shipping dates. Ultimately, I had to contact my credit card provider to cancel the charge. I never received the product and encountered unsatisfactory customer service, with no apologies for the difficulties caused by the company or any follow-up. If I could rate it lower than one star, I would.
The holiday promotion seems misleading. The advertised $8 per item for tape or reel transfers only applies if you're sending them to cloud storage or a hard drive. Transferring to a thumb drive or CD incurs an additional $40 plus shipping and handling, which is quite misleading.
While the results of my transfers were good, the ordering process raised concerns. A 'FREE' one-month subscription to their cloud storage automatically renews unless canceled, which could lead to unexpected charges that many might overlook.
I had been considering converting our old home movies for years. Recently, I opted for expedited digitizing services. When my movies were uploaded to the cloud, I was surprised to see that many were poorly cropped. After several emails, I learned I had to send the films back for reprocessing, which was supposed to be prioritized. After a couple of weeks of waiting, I had to follow up to check on my films. Despite paying for expedited service, I received no compensation for their mistakes. My request to speak with a representative was ignored. Overall, I was very disappointed in the service, which felt rushed and did not meet expectations.
