Review Time
My first attempt to connect was 4 days before I was traveling to the city where the boat was located (2 hours away). I wasn't contacted until the day after we left. I was sent an email that I apparently didn't understand as it seemed I would need to place money in escrow PRIOR TO being able to even lay eyes on the boat. I got one reply that did not explain things. I emailed asking the specific question of whether I had to put money in escrow PRIOR TO seeing the boat but haven't gotten an answer. Asked the broker to call but no call. This is exceedingly frustrating. I would LOVE for someone that can help me to reach out. EDIT*** I recently was able to connect to someone through their Facebook page and explain the situation. I was told I would be contacted ASAP. I will update as to whether this occurs or not. EDIT*** #2 The broker did call soon after and gave me a much better explanation and is going to try and set something up. I increased my star rating to 3 from 1. Will update again later.
Vic Romandine and Lou Bartolotta were very responsive, upfront and personally a pleasure to work with during recent boat purchase. Mel Headrick, our closing agent, was equally adept at her position, very responsive and also a pleasure to work with in completing our transaction in the most timely and accurate manner possible. The POP Yachts business model was a little confusing at first, given the number of people involved in the process, the hand-off from one rep to another, and the automated emails presenting other boats of potential interest even though I was already focused on just one. However, after transition, the previous reps remained accessible and responsive to any issues or questions - even after closing!Buying any boat is a complicated and risky process, especially from long distance during a pandemic. It is ultimately a buyer's responsibility to ensure their expectations are met or adjusted accordingly via personal inspection and survey to confirm represented condition. Opinions of condition and suitability of anything are highly subjective and often differ between those selling and those buying. POP Yachts was no different than any other brokerage in that regard, presenting optimal photos and seller's somewhat rosy description of condition. What was refreshing about Vic and Lou is that there was no push back or pressure applied during negotiation when presented with a different opinion of value or suitability. Vic and Lou were more realistic and very rational in their sales approach than most other boat brokers that I have dealt with over many years.
We had an absolutely amazing experience with the entire team at Pop Yacht’s. Our broker Debbie, was knowledgeable, trustworthy, tenacious, kind, had a photographer’s eye, took incredible pictures and she worked hard to find the right buyers. We couldn’t be happier with the sale of our Sea Ray. We enjoyed meeting the boat mechanic performing the inspection and the new owners. The process was seamless at closing due to Lauren, our closer, she was effective, efficient and informative thru the whole process, she answered all of our many questions. Every employee we had any communication with at Pop Yacht’s was professional and friendly. My husband and I have been very impressed from start to end, it took a team to make the sell happen, we are so appreciative. We know where to go if/when it is time for another boat or we consider an RV. We highly recommend Pop Yacht’s.

I dont know what all the bad reviews are about. My team went so far out of their way to accommodate me it was unbeleivable. Literally the best experience I have had purchasing of the 8 transactions in my life. I could write a 10 paragraph review on how great they were.
