1-Star Review for Refundable Me is too much. Refundable Me is a scam. I booked international flights through BYOJet in May for travel in early September and paid over $500 extra for Refundable Me insurance, thinking it would offer flexibility and protection. Instead, it has been nothing but a waste of money and an incredibly frustrating experience.Shortly after booking, I realized I had accidentally selected the wrong dates. I tried to cancel and rebook immediately, but my request was denied by Refundable Me-even though the travel was months away. I later provided multiple legitimate reasons for cancelling, including unforeseen circumstances: my daughter's final school exams and my husband's mandatory court appearance, both of which now overlap with our travel dates. These dates were only provided to us about a week ago, well after the flights were booked.Despite multiple attempts to explain the situation and submit documentation, every request was rejected. Their refund guidelines are written in a way that makes it nearly impossible to qualify, no matter how valid your situation is. The customer service team offered no real assistance and seemed more focused on closing the case than resolving it.I have now engaged legal action due to what I believe are misleading and deceptive business practices. The insurance offered through Refundable Me is worthless, and the entire experience has felt like an intentional trap.Do not waste your money. If you're booking through BYOJet, avoid selecting the Refundable Me add-on — it does not provide the security it promises.Refund Application Reference: 10B84527
Refundable Me is nothing but misleading and worthless. I booked a ticket for my mother and paid extra for the Refundable Me add-on, thinking it would cover us in case of emergencies. Just two days before her scheduled flight, my mom developed severe back pain and a medical condition that made travel impossible.I immediately submitted a refund application with her doctor’s prescription, which clearly stated she required 10 days of physiotherapy and strict rest. Despite providing all the medical documentation, Refundable Me refused to process the claim. Even worse, they stopped responding to my follow-ups and left the case hanging without resolution.Their so-called “refund protection” is set up to deny almost every legitimate request. The customer service team is unhelpful and dismissive, showing no concern for genuine situations where people are unable to travel. This feels like nothing more than a trap to take extra money from customers. Do not fall for it. If you’re booking through BYOJet, avoid selecting the Refundable Me add-on - it offers no real protection when you need it.Refund Application Reference: B37CD87C
Booked hotel paid extra for cancellation with refundableme advertised on super.com website. Refundableme is a scam. Hotel declined cancellation super.com tried but kept going in circles. Overall paid for hotel that I never went. Don’t buy extra option with refundableme. 1 star is too much for this review absolutely crap
I tried to cancel my trip to kelowna after purchasing cancelation protection. Unfortunately my sister-in-law who was to meet up with us in kelowna passed away. You would think that would be a reason to cancel to attend her funeral. But no, not considered immediate family. My mother-in-law is now in palative care so I am trying to file those documents but the site says my request has been denied. How do I file another claim? Useless AI. This company has no compassion or common sense. Just take your money and look for every excuse not yo refund you even though I purched cancelation protection. What a scam. Do not use this company. Rating should be less than 1.
I will be sueing immediately! Ask for so many doctor notes and as soon as you provide them ! They still need more dates and notes. I have a herniated disc and can’t attend the event that is 2 month away ! And still no refund ! SO UNPROFESSIONAL Refund Application Reference: 947DC8ED
I had an operation in my abdomen and had complications afterwards wich make sure I can’t attend Scotland Coast2Coast. This Sarah, Anne was so full about in the early review, is a useless peace of AI that works in circles just to make the company sure of their positive outcome. Rubbish. Update: after some days the company reached out to me as promised and explained they had reviewed my case once again and decided to refund completely. It’s to bad it takes a negative review to get to this point, but I decided to compensate my rating to 3 stars instead of 1 star. The problem has been solved, they reached out to me personally. But I still don’t understand why the initial communication has te be done by AI/BOT/automated mailing/review. This demolishes the quality of service. But thanks once again for reaching out and finding a solution.
I'd added at a cost of $12 or so the option of a refundable ticket, absolute scam. A family member of mine was down with the flu and did not recover in time prior to Football event, I was denied a refund due to not providing private medical documentation. I'd provided ample notice 48 hours prior to the event so that the ticket could be resold if necessary
I had been sick for a week as my guts were infected, put on heavy antibiotics, and on the day of the concert by Mother Mother my symptoms worsened where I felt really distressed, flushed, unable to move comfortably.I filled in the Refundable.me form, skipped the concert, and went to ER. They wrote a doctor's note and provided an exemption report for me.The next day I got a response from an unrepliable email stating they need more details and doctor's note etc. I visited my refund form and I updated my Refundable.me with the documents.A WEEK HAS PASSED and NO RESPONSE!My booking reference is HP495 and refund application reference is 7D17C30D@Refundable.me I kindly ask you to help me with my refund.Edit (17/08/2025): After the review I saw the refund in my bank account and shortly after they've emailed me that they've processed the refund and asked if I was able to receive it. As always, the email was from Sarah from a cryptic email address. I am thankful that I was able to get my refund but it seems there is a bottleneck that affects me and the rest of the customers. It feels very much like a scam since there is little to no transparency. I provided them feedback about the situation, my experience, and what could be better. Sarah sounded open minded and said she would forward it to the right people.TLDR: I got my refund shortly after posting this review. I gave Sarah constructive feedback and she responded open mindedly and professional.
