Review Time
It's honestly disappointing how I cannot use the sight for education purposes without forcing me to abruptly stop due to the limit that they placed on the videos (follow up questions). Yes I understand they are trying to make money and its quite costly but I don't think they should have a limit on how many follow up questions you can do after each free video lesson. It was an excellent revision resource but once money plays a factor. My experience was great until they placed limits on the follow up questions on the free video lessons (they are there to help you but you can't even do that properly without saying I exceeded the daily limit). I am disappointed.
Loved Cognito, as a single parent gone back to do my gcse's I used it a lot. I can hardly do any study now as it's put a limit and a hefty charge to use. I also have three teenagers who were using it. I cant afford pro for 1 person, let alone 4. Real shame
was great until they stopped free video lessons 3 days before GCSEs absolute joke I've been a loyal customer throughout my course and now when i need it most they do this you can now only do 10 questions when there is more than that in some lessons
I used Cognito for maths and sciences at GCSE, which helped improve my grade significantly. However, now at A-Levels, Cognito is currently hidden behind a pay wall, as I can barely do any work on quizzes, etc., before being told I must switch to the pro version. Moreover, in the A-Level chemistry section, there are no educational videos, and there is no A-Level maths section at all. It is disappointing, but I'm sure they will add more detail to the A-Level section of the site over time, as for the pay wall, I understand such things are necessary to keep a project like this running at the quality it is.
I love cognito, have used it for every science mock, and every science GCSE. It covers every topic thoroughly, and gives you informational videos, flashcards, quizzes, past papers etc. on each topic. I've been using cognito since year 10, and I'm now in my last few weeks of year 11, and I can confidently say it has boosted my confidence/grades in science.
It helped me boost my grades in science from a 3,5,5 to a 5,7,7 and my maths grade from a 5 to a 7!! I find textbooks so hard to revise from because they're lowkey complicated. But when I found Cognito it made science fun to revise, and I actually understood what I was learning. I loved it so much I had to buy premium!!! I recommend Cognito to everybody doing GCSE's!!
The course material is excellent. However, if there are issues there is no way to contact the people running the site. I have subscribed to the pro version but when I log in it has not registered this fact. When I wanted to raise a help query there is no way to do that on their website or through the dashboard when logged in. This is very poor - when you take people’s money you need to offer support.
