Very poorly laid out course with little help and 15-18k in costs. There are high numbers of people who either give up or take years to finish. Only speak to people who are in the assesment stage before deciding on whether to proceed with them. If you have any other commitments such as family or a job do not take up this course
The SAVA course has opened doors that were previously locked shut. It was a turning point in my life that has given me the knowledge and qualification required to begin my professional career in surveying. The course is well set out and there is support available throughout the process to help you navigate and complete the qualification. I had no prior work experience in the property sector- completed the course, and I am now in full time employment working as a surveyor and valuer.If you are seriously considering a career change to Surveying, I can't recommend SAVA enough. It is a lot of work , expected of a Level 6 qualification, but the rewards and opportunities at the end are great.
SAVA offers a well structured and comprehensive course that has enabled me to get a good start in residential surveying. I have since been recruited by a firm looking specifically for SAVA graduates which goes to show that their courses are also highly regarded in the wider industry.
I was blown away by the level of support and encouragement that SAVA provided to me during my Certificate in Residential valuation course. I have studied with SAVA before and they were superb then which is why I returned. I would strongly recommend using them. They wont leave you floundering and they will support you if you feel it gets too much.
I found the programme to be exceptionally well structured, with knowledgeable and supportive staff who clearly care about the success of their students. It is challenging, as it should be, but absolutely achievable with the right mindset and effort. Any negative feedback likely comes from those who could not cope with the demands. The reality is that becoming a surveyor means entering a profession held to some of the highest standards and the programme reflects that responsibility by maintaining a high bar, which I welcomed. Having completed several degrees and professional programmes, I can confidently say this was one of the best I have undertaken. It truly set me up for success in practice.
