Spent 6 months trying to teach myself interior design through YouTube and Pinterest. Got nowhere. The information online is so scattered and contradictory. This program gave me the structure I needed. The step-by-step curriculum makes sense. Week 10 and I've completed my second paid project. The investment was worth avoiding months of spinning my wheels with free content that doesn't connect.
The course content is excellent and Amelia clearly knows her stuff. The design education and business training are both strong. Only giving 4 stars because I had consistent tech issues with the platform - videos wouldn't load, pages would freeze. Support was responsive but it was frustrating. Content-wise though its top tier.
I entered this journey without any design experience. As an elementary teacher, my skills were limited to creating bulletin boards. I felt overwhelmed during the initial weeks, unsure if I could handle it. The foundational modules on design principles were challenging but essential. The practice project assignments were incredibly beneficial. By the time I took on my first real client, I had three portfolio pieces that appeared professional. She never doubted my level of experience. The structured approach is effective, even for beginners. Now in week 11, I've just finished my third project, and my confidence continues to grow with each one.
I had my doubts about managing this course alongside family responsibilities. However, the flexible schedule and encouraging instruction at the academy made it achievable! I was able to work on projects during nap times and after my kids went to bed. If you're a busy parent, don't let that deter you. This program integrates into your life seamlessly. As a stay-at-home mom of three eager to restart my career, I was interested in interior design but unsure of where to start, and this academy offered the ideal beginning.
As someone who typically focuses on numbers, I felt intimidated by the creative side of things. Surprisingly, this program taught me how to apply my analytical skills to design. The software training was thorough, and I would say you don’t need to be technical to succeed here. Despite being an online course, it feels very interactive—the virtual room planner and 3D modeling exercises made learning enjoyable and accessible, even for someone like me. The AI tools taught in the program help create professional results without requiring years of experience. This approach really works.
I was initially skeptical about managing this course alongside family commitments. However, the flexible schedule and supportive teaching made it achievable! I completed projects during nap times and after bedtime. If you're a busy parent, don’t let that discourage you. This program adapts to your life, rather than the other way around. As a stay-at-home parent looking to restart my career, I was drawn to interior design but didn’t know where to start, and this program offered the perfect entry point.
This program has greatly exceeded my expectations overall. Having taken multiple online courses before, I can confidently say this is one of the best-structured programs available. The instructor's expertise is clear, but what truly stands out is her ability to explain complex design concepts in an understandable manner. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that some software tutorials reference outdated versions of programs—updating those would be beneficial. Otherwise, it's a fantastic course that I wholeheartedly recommend.
I've always had a talent for decorating, but this program has turned my hobby into a viable career. I just landed my first client this week and have two more meetings scheduled next week! I'm really excited! The course goes beyond simply selecting attractive furnishings; it teaches you the principles of good design, space planning, and how to bring a client's vision to life.
I was concerned that interior design might be too subjective compared to my background in coding. However, this program provided me with the foundational principles and 'rules' of design. I've learned to brand myself, market my services, and close deals. Thanks to the guidance I've received, I've earned $18,500 in the last three months doing something I truly enjoy.
The material is excellent and thorough, but I found the pace quite intense at times. There’s a lot to absorb, which is great value, but it can feel like drinking from a firehose. I'm still working through the modules and applying what I learn, but it's taking me longer than the suggested timeline. That said, the quality of teaching is exceptional and the instructor is very knowledgeable. Just be prepared that this isn't a quick fix; you really need to dedicate time to cover everything properly.
