Review Time
As an accredited investor, I signd up, entered my real tax, net worth, and identifcation information, and their compliance team randomly closely my account with no explanation whatsoever. Their help desk was totally useless and never followed up. The people at YieldStreet literally just stole my most sensitve private data and then banned the account with no legitmate reason at all. Beware the scam and do your Google research on their many fraud lawsuits.
I initiated an investment on Sept 5 and as of today (Sept 15), that investment still hasn't shown up nor been confirmed on Yieldstreet even though the money was withdrawn from my bank account over 4 days ago. There isn't clarity on the exact timelines and creates uncertainty on whether the transaction will go through or where the funds are.
Tonight I found out ANOTHER of my Yieldsreet investments has gone to ZERO. They have settled a lawsuit against a group that STOLE several ocean going ships (these are large ships). Yieldstreet failed under multiple factors to protect the investors against the theft. The "settlement" was for $5 million. Coincidentally, the accrued lawyer fees were also $5 million. Investors get ZERO. The people that stole the ships get about $90 MILLION less the $5 million. This was a CRIMINAL ACT! Yieldstreet is an ABSOLUTE SCAM. Run!
As an accredited investor, I fully understand that there are risks with each and every investment - and the YieldStreet portfolio of offerings is no exception. What I found amazing is that while YieldStreet will in their own way suggest that they are excellent at managing risk, my personal experience is that they are horrible (and that is being generous). I have 6 current investments with YieldStreet, and 5 of the 6 are currently on the "watchlist", and would seem to be on a path to be a complete loss (i.e. all investment zero'd out). This is on top of another investment that was already a complete loss. I accept responsibility, as I made the investment, and my purpose for writing this review is to potentially spare others of the disastrous experience I have had.
It appears to be real, but it's not. After seeing the dazzling website and the lofty claims, I signed up and made an investment. A few days later, l attempted to withdraw, but nothing occurred. Fortunately, Good merit, has been paying me without any issues.
I strongly advise potential investors to avoid Yieldstreet. While their advertising and platform appear attractive at first glance, my experience has been anything but positive.Once you invest, communication becomes nearly non-existent. There are no meaningful updates on your investment status, and you’re left in the dark with your money seemingly vanished into a black hole.Worse yet, most of the investment opportunities I participated in resulted in significant capital losses. Forget about earning returns—even recovering your initial investment seems highly unlikely. Yieldstreet's offerings come with far more risk than they disclose, and the lack of transparency only adds to the frustration. This has been a deeply disappointing and costly lesson. Proceed with extreme caution if you’re considering investing with Yieldstreet.
