8-ball pool has been my favorite e-game for over a decade. I've been playing it with joy and delight and, over the years, it has become the most enjoyable way for me to spend my 15-minute break when working from home, to clear up my mind getting rid of countless burdening and overwhelming thoughts or just to hang out for a while with an entertaining game...
I ve been a real "fan" of the game for so long... I ve been having such a great time throughout all these years...!
However, during these last 2-3 weeks I ve began to reconsider... My layest experience of the game during this period of time has led me to believe that it has begun to gradually abolish the very factor that has made it so popular among people worldwide, i.e. HUMAN INTERACTION...
The very fact that ACTUAL PEOPLE, REAL PERSONS, LIVING HUMAN BEINGS get inter-connected in real time interaction (even for a few minutes game), get closer with each other and have fun while competing over a pool table... is what makes the difference (above graphics, gameplay etc.)... is what has made the game so popular...
However... during this latest period of time, this great asset seems to "fade away"...
I can't believe that MiniClip or whoever may be in charge for all users' experience of the game has decided one day to interfere in players' pure interaction by introducing a (big -as it appears-) number of virtual AI players that are not only virtually unbeatable, but also... so provocatively "skilled" that end up playing by themselves while their opponents (i.e. us HUMAN players) are left speechless... staring at their extraordinary combination shots and their "extra-terrestrial" magical tricks... performed without even targeting... without aiming at all... in just a few seconds... with all the balls ending up getting potted one by one via the most incredible shots...
I MEAN... COME ON... COME ON PEOPLE...
In case you people DON'T LIKE the users of your product (your CUSTOMERS) to have fun, amusing themselves by playing a game where winning or losing depends on their own skills and performance and to experience the joy (and vanity) of the included trivial achievements... then DROP IT RIGHT NOW...
In case you prefer them all being totally disappointed because of their "phoney" inability to win just a single game (who could beat AI... who can beat a machine as their opponent...?)... then... what you offer is nothing more an UNFAIR PLAY...!
And your policy... is just a FOUL PLAY...!
You 've come up with introducing AI into this purely amusing game, initially made for people to have fun... What for?
I mean... wasn't people's/users' entertainment your purpose...? Isn't this the game's purpose...?
Whether your priorities have changed and you now prefer discouraging human players and, eventually, making them quit on their favorite game... then (there's nothing more left to say...) keep going... let AI prevail...!!
