π Formal Complaint: A1A Movers (Miami, FL & TX)Unprofessional Conduct | Missed Contractual Deadlines | Poor Communication | Mishandled DeliveryCustomer Experience Timeline β August 30 to September 27, 2025π August 30, 2025 β Pick-Up DayA1A Movers (Andre + one unnamed mover) picked up items from my storage unit #3117 in Florida.Storage was 5x8, no furniture, only boxes and loose items.Andre claimed I needed 2 additional boxes ($24 each) β I complied.After pickup, Andre called and asked for a tip β inappropriate behavior.I sent $77 via Cash App as a tip.Andre asked when the latest acceptable delivery date would be β I said βno later than Sept 12, 2025.βAndre stated my items could be delivered in as little as 4 days, but definitely by Sept 12th.π September 11β12, 2025 β No Delivery, No Clear AnswersI contacted Reggie, who passed me to Adam.Adam admitted he couldnβt locate my property in the system β only Steve had access to logistics.Adam never followed up after promising to call back.On September 12, Adam finally stated:My items were still in Miami storage.Provided lot/storage numbers for verification.Claimed truck/driver issues delayed delivery.I informed him Iβd be unavailable from Sept 13β23 due to work.Adam said they would coordinate delivery after my return.π September 20, 2025 β CONTRACT DEADLINE MISSEDPer the signed contract, delivery is guaranteed within 21 days.21 days from pickup = September 20, 2025.No delivery was made. Contract was breached.π September 23β24, 2025 β Finally Spoke with SteveUpon returning from travel, I contacted A1A again.Adam still said βthings were in limbo.βOn Sept 24, I finally spoke with Steve (Manager/Owner):He had been gone for nearly a month due to a family emergency.While away, no one at A1A could manage the logistics system.Claimed the company had truck issues (breakdowns, no drivers).I told Steve this was unacceptable β no business should stop functioning because one person is unavailable.Yet, A1A was still taking deposits from new customers during this time.π September 25β27, 2025 β Last-Minute Delivery ChaosOn Sept 25, I was told my items were finally en route via American Knights Moving & Storage.Delivery was scheduled for Saturday, Sept 27, 2025.I was promised:A 3β4 day notice once the truck was en route.A 24-hour confirmation call from the carrier.Only Mati (driver from American Knights) called me as required β professional and on time.However, this last-minute delivery forced me to cancel my prepaid weekend plans at Canyon Lake.I asked Mati if the delivery could be moved to the following week β he said that was okay.Then Steve from A1A called me back, accusing me of not having money to pay β a lie.I had already paid and simply asked for rescheduling due to prior plans.π» Delivery Day Issues β Handled by American KnightsWhen Mati attempted delivery:The truck was too large for the delivery location.I tried contacting A1A Movers, and so did American Knights β no one answered.American Knights Movers took action:Their dispatch team rented a smaller truck.Brought in another driver to complete the delivery.Initially said I would need to pay β but the company decided to cover the cost themselves.American Knights Movers went above and beyond to get the job done right.π§Ύ Company Performance Breakdown:β A1A Movers (FL/TX) β DO NOT USEName Role ReviewReggie Sales Rep Did his job β got the sale and deposit.Adam Logistics Completely incompetent, could not access or locate customer data.Andre Driver/Packer Unprofessional β requested a tip and accepted a TV I couldnβt ship.+1 Mover Driver Assistant Silent, did his job β no issues.Steve Manager/Owner Disconnected, dismissive, no systems in place to run the business in his absence. No weekend dispatch, no customer care.β American Knights Moving & Storage β HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDName Role ReviewMati Truck Driver Extremely professional, courteous, and respectful of my time and concerns.Dispatch Operations Team Took executive action to solve problems that werenβt theirs β rented a truck, assigned a second driver, absorbed extra costs to ensure delivery happened.π¨ Final Warning to Others:Whatever you do, DO NOT use A1A Movers. Unreliable, unprofessional, and unprepared. They left my property in limbo, missed their contractual delivery deadline, and lacked basic communication.Instead, choose American Knights Moving & Storage. They saved the day, completed the job under pressure, and truly care about customer satisfaction. I will be using them for future moves β including military PCS transitions.
