Avoid this estate agents they are conditional sellers only.
This estate agents are only interested in controlling the sale for anyone taking an in house mortgage. We made an offer on s property and were advised that our offer was the highest offer however when I informed them that we already had a mortgage provided. 5 minutes later we received a phone call from the estate agents to say the ‘vendor’ had decided to go with someone else.
This made no sense to us as we were informed we were the highest offer and first time buyers.
It was advised that the ‘vendor’ wanted the sale to be kept in house. I don’t know how this would be of any benefit to the ‘vendor’ by losing out on the highest offer.
We had little to no contact with the estate agents as every time we’d tried to contact them their mortgage advisor would pick up the phone. The mortgage advisor massively tried to take advantage of the fact we were first time buyers, breaching regulations.
Avoid at all costs for both buyers and seller.
