Keratoconus corneal cross linking with laser on both eyes. Life changing!After being monitored on the NHS for several years with no mention of possible surgery, I was put on a waiting list for an urgent operation in June 2021. I was told I needed cross linking within 12 weeks - despite lots of chasing up I actually got a call 12 months later. I would have needed a corneal transplant if I had waited that long as the keratoconus had quickly advanced.After 6 months of waiting we decided to go private and found Accuvision by luck online. The clinic was an hour away and it was nerve racking having to trust a company when you have no idea what you are looking for! But we cannot thank them enough. My vision now in my left eye is better without glasses than it used to be with!Having the laser surgery with the cross linking is not something offered everywhere but it is without a doubt the best decision I made.The first operation went so well that when the team noticed the early onset of keratoconus in my second eye I also had surgery on that eye too.A year after operation 1, I have just been for a check up, my vision is beyond what I thought was possible and the changes in my eyes are incredible!Quick and excellent service with fantastic aftercare!
