I am 56 years old and have had poor eyesight from 10 years old. Over the years, it has deteriorated to 5.50/4.75 per eye. In addition I was struggling with short sighted vision unless I held a book a few inches away! Not a great situation. I had friends that had had surgery a few years ago and some recently, all of which said that it was the best thing they had ever done. I had always been a sceptic but it was a 'now or never' moment and I decided to take the plunge.I attended the Wetherby clinic and my optometrist was a fantastic lady called Natalia. She guided me through the procedure from the initial consultation, obviously many questions and worries from me, through to pre procedure, post procedure and the regular check ups thereafter.The service Accuvision provide is nothing less than 100% professional. Even during the procedure you are being reassured and guided through the process which I found reassuring.It is not actually as harrowing as you might think. It is over within a few minutes. I think with regard to recovery, for some it can be immediate and for others the brain adjusts to the new sight situation but even then the immediate change is unbelievable and then after a few weeks in my case, I could see and read without countless pairs of glasses and contact lenses. I can't believe that I did not have this treatment years ago! To quote my friends, 'this was the best thing I have ever done'!A big thank you to all that were involved in changing my life from reception, consultancy to surgery team.
