I have used Adams for multiple years, well over 10+. Until 2024, you purchased the product, loaded the CD or downloaded and imported your last year data and went directly to work, no hassles, no worries, and total familiarity with the prior program and it's use. NOW, with this "new and improved" system, and having to establish new credentials/password, Ect. you may, after many frustrating moments of working through multiple issues with their website and receiving error codes, and "Something went wrong, try again later" messages, you get to the enlightened pathway where your previous data is showing in the module and you think "Yay!", I made it finally. Until you attempt to input the past years updated numbers and data using the Dashboard and making your selection of Payor, Form and the like; where you are met once again with NO functionality and are left with leaving a message on the Chat Board and receiving a response: "We typically reply within one day". Okay, one day, two days have passed with no update, no answer, no contact, even with an updated email to Support where they say they will respond also in addition to the Chat, NOTHING. Just "crickets". Silence. Here we are on January 23, 2024 needing desperately to input data and complete the process and cannot move forward. Their phone message states that "You will not be able to talk to a person, the only communications will be in the Chat". At this point I have undertaken to doing them at the IRS.gov website, one at a time, and hand writing the W-3 and Form 1096 for mailing, and after that I am going to call my CC holder, deny this charge, ask for a credit, and then report to the BBB with a complaint and any other office I can reach out to. Adams states "125 years in business", a record to truly be proud of, but you have failed miserably this time. I hate to be vengeful, but I truly hope this closes their doors permanently! Going out of business would be restorative to all who relied on the programs previously. Just take a look at the news about Intuit and Turbo Tax, and how they are being sanctioned by the FTC for the misleading and fraud. "You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time". Adams/Tops, I think you have charted your own course to failure and finality. Without customers, why even exist? And you have failed yours with the "Latest and Greatest". I trust the juice is worth the squeeze you gave us. Methinks it will be impossible to recover from this disaster. Too little and too late.
