Serene was from day one always helpful and straightforward about the business. Even after sales communication is great, she always responds to our calls and questions (thanks again) . The boys that installed the solar panels and battery system were committed to the point that I haven’t seen in Australia for a long time ( we built 5 houses, and we know how it usually looks like to deal with tradesmen) . Everything done in one day ( Sunday) , efficiently, tidy , no issues whatsoever. Top marks for the whole hard working team. The system itself ( Sofar) is one of the cheapest on the market , but it works without any problems. 20 Kw battery and 6.6 Kw of solar panels are far more efficient than our old 5 Kw solar panels system that this new one is replacing. From the moment the sun is out, the house uses about 35% of battery capacity until the next morning. By 10am battery is usually fully recharged (100%) and from there on , we are exporting power . The system produces around 40Kw of power per day ( early spring, still short days , I actually didn’t check out the data lately as the days are a bit longer). Even on a rainy and fully cloudy day , the least amount of power that we produced was 22 Kw . Our old system (that we replaced after 12 years as the offer for the new replacement was hard to reject) on the clear sunny day was making around 30Kw per day in its good days ( but slowly deteriorating lately) and around 10Kw when cloudy. Yes , it is too early to talk about long term reliability of the system after only a few months of ownership, but it is all covered by the lengthy warranty period, and we honestly can’t see any reason why Advantage Solar shouldn’t be trusted with it , as their commitment is so far more than evident . There MAY be better ( more expensive) systems out there , but they cost silly amounts of money, and we’re questioning the economics behind that , as the higher price takes too long to pay it back, in some cases, the components are so expensive , that they can’t be paid back trough the savings in electricity bills during the expected lifetime period for the battery and panels, so think twice before opting for those ones….
