Since I bought the Airtel Smartbox, it has been one frustration after the other. I've been using it for over 3 months now, and the experience has been nothing short of disappointing.They promised 1 month of free browsing after purchase, but I couldn’t do much with it until I got frustrated and made a payment for a subscription. At first, the WiFi seemed to work fine, but after just 5 days, I experienced prolonged downtime that lasted over a week.When the connection finally returned, it lasted only 3 days before the same issue happened again. I assumed it might be due to using the "unlimited" data plan, so I decided to switch after my 1-month plan expired. This time, I paid ₦20,000 for 200GB, thinking a capped plan would be better.To my surprise, this plan was even worse! It’s been a week now in my third month of using the Airtel Smartbox, and I’ve had nothing but regrets. I feel like smashing the device out of sheer frustration.I wish I could sue Airtel for fraud and false promises, but in Nigeria, justice is often reserved for the highest bidder. I’ve left this fight to God.If you’re thinking of buying the Airtel Smartbox, save yourself the trouble and invest that money in something worthwhile. Manage the struggles you already face with Airtel's mobile network—it’s still better than this.
