I joined AGA Adventures for a truly memorable trip in October/November 2023. We trekked to EBC as part of a group and I then climbed 2 x 6000m peaks (Lobuche East and Ama Dablam) with 1:1 Sherpa support - I was very lucky to have Gelje Sherpa leading me on these climbs who is an incredibly skilled climber and a very inspiring individual. From the outset, Adriana was very helpful and pro-active in helping me to plan for this big expedition. She gave me a lot of guidance on gear and very helpfully arranged for some items to be lent to me both in London and Kathmandu. The organisation of the trip in Nepal itself was flawless - everything ran smoothly and the team really went the extra mile to ensure we were all happy and comfortable. We had a great, fun group for the EBC trek and that was a very enjoyable part of the overall experience.The mountaineering component of the trip was of course a step up in terms of the physical and mental challenges but I felt very well supported throughout by Gelje and the other members of the Sherpa team (including Dawa and Phuri). We continued to have fun despite the more serious nature of this part of the trip. After the trip ended, the Sherpas very kindly took me out for dinner on my birthday in Kathmandu - this was not expected but was very much appreciated! Overall, I would recommend AGA Adventures at the highest level for any trekking or mountaineering trips you may be planning in Nepal. I felt the whole experience was much more personal than that provided by the bigger, more commercial, companies and of course it was great to be led by Adriana and Gelje who are both legends in the mountaineering world!
