When I first became concerned about my daughter’s speech, I very fortunately stumbled upon Agents of Speech while doing a deep dive into how best to support her. She didn’t qualify for publicly funded therapy because she technically met the speech milestones, but she was noticeably weaker than her peers.I found Agents of Speech after trying an evaluation and session with a private SLT, which was very costly. I also wasn’t confident that our home environment would be suitable for child-led therapy without any structure — I have three small children and there’s always a lot going on.I am so extremely grateful to have found Ming. I’ve genuinely enjoyed the coaching and always receive timely, supportive feedback from our lovely coach, Kay.I will say that it takes time and patience. Some days feel hard, but once you’re a few weeks into the coaching, you really do start noticing a difference. I’m a trained primary school teacher, and honestly, without coaching I wouldn’t have been able to support a child with speech or language needs — because I’m not trained to do so. Put the time and patience into your child, and you’ll see them rewarded with functional language.I also want to say that Ming has always responded and answered my questions about my daughter, and I’ve kept him updated on her progress throughout. This is a community of people who truly care — and it’s the most affordable speech therapy option I have ever come across.I genuinely cannot recommend Agents of Speech highly enough.
