I’ve been a paying Ahrefs user for a long time, 6 years or so, and unfortunately, I’m very disappointed with the value for money at this time.

Currently, the Lite plan is extremely expensive for what it actually includes, and many useful features are locked behind even more expensive tiers or extra credits. It feels like almost everything important requires another upgrade. Every single click costs you.

What frustrates me most is that the data often does not feel reliable enough to justify the price. I’ve used Ahrefs heavily for keyword research and content planning, but the results have often been poor.

Some keyword data feels outdated, and when you want fresher SERP data or more up-to-date insights, the answer is usually to pay more. Finally, I followed their data to create content, optimize everything, build backlinks and... no rankings, no traffic, no results. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

On top of that, the platform seems to have recurring technical issues. Right now, Ahrefs itself says: “We’re investigating an issue affecting some SERPs since late March, which may cause incomplete or unusual results and impact related metrics.” This kind of issue has happened too often, making it even harder to trust the tool when it is already so expensive. I mean, it happens every month. How can you monitor your progress if the tool/crawler/bot has an issue every 30 days?

Ahrefs may still work for some large teams with bigger budgets, but for me, it has become an overpriced tool with too many restrictions, too many upsells, and not enough dependable value in return.

Very disappointing, very. After 6 years of paying for it, I realized I had wasted so much money on it; I could have bought a house. And the most painful thing is that I couldn't scale my business because of its obvious inaccuracies and incorrect data lately.

Sorry guys, but your tool is not good as it was.
