Airbnb is broken. Over the last couple of years I have had a plethora of issues with the properties I stayed at many of which were never resolved. I believe most could have been avoided if Airbnb implemented a real vetting system or practiced genuine accountability. Most recently, after a conflict arose with a property I stayed, Airbnb prevented me from leaving a review. I’ve been engaging with them for two weeks asking them to fix it. Every new ambassador demonstrates lack of knowledge or care. Many have given me condescending advice due to never having familiarised themselves with the case. One ambassador called and messaged me after 2AM while I was asleep, then claimed they could tell I’d read the message 😳 The conversation was then terminated, like many other ones before, forcing me to start the process all over again. Today is my deadline for leaving the review and I still don’t have a solution. I can’t help but feel that the ambassadors have been intentionally stalling while the review period expires.
