I booked an apartment through Airbnb that turned out to be completely different from what was promised. It was advertised as child-friendly, with a fireplace and a lake nearby — none of which existed. The host became aggressive after I asked about a photo agreement he himself had offered, later threatened with a police report, and doubled the price when I tried to correct the booking.When we arrived, the apartment was dirty — feces in the toilet, stains on the floor, and a filthy shower. After a week of stress and contradictory messages from Airbnb, they closed the chat the moment I provided photo evidence. I’ve been left without help or refund despite multiple attempts to solve the issue properly.This has been one of the most stressful travel experiences I’ve ever had, especially as I’m traveling with a baby. I truly hope Airbnb takes responsibility and reviews this case — both for our sake and so that others won’t go through the same.
