DO NOT USE AIRBNB!!!!! Our reservation cancelled on our way there with no explanation, and Airbnb customer service told me they would help cover the difference in cost in email and also on a phone conversation later. Once I booked a more expensive (obviously because it was the day of!) place to stay, Airbnb customer service called me to close the case. When I asked the woman about the assistance in covering the extra last minute cost difference, she said there was nothing they could do about it. After I had her reread the email from that morning, (which she stopped reading before she got to the part about the "Air cover" part, I probed her to look further in the email and read it and she never would read it aloud! When I read it to her, she stated, "I'm sorry for the miscommunication but there's nothing I can do. The best I can offer is a $150 coupon towards a future stay." I explained how that was putting us out over $500 that day and she just repeated the same statement, then said bye and hung up! I complained by email to customer service that I was deceived into spending more $ through their company and lied to by their agent and they have never responded!!!!!
