I booked a stay from the UK to Larnaca, Cyprus, for October 2nd to 16th, 2025. Upon arriving at the apartment, the elevator was out of order, which was a significant issue due to my son's disability. The apartment had a terrible smell of waste, which we promptly reported to the host. He acknowledged the problem and offered us alternative accommodation, but it was not in our preferred area. The following day, the host informed us that our new accommodation was already booked for other guests starting October 6th, so we had to vacate by 10 AM that day. We had paid for a central three-bedroom apartment for our entire stay. The host suggested a one-bedroom option ten miles away, which we declined. He then insisted we find our own place or face eviction, threatening involvement from local authorities. We managed to secure another accommodation but were only refunded half the amount for the four nights of our fourteen-night reservation. The service acknowledged that this was not the holiday we had anticipated and offered $200 in compensation, which was never paid. The host was unhelpful, and the support from the service was lacking. Each time I reached out, I spoke to a different representative, making it impossible to resolve the issue efficiently. It felt like a deliberate tactic to avoid accountability. I strongly advise against engaging with this platform.
