If i could give 0 stars i would. Me and my partner booked a rental car through Alamo for our holiday to Norway. Paid over £500 for the car and paid the £400 deposit. 1 hour before our flight we get an email to say Alamo can no longer provide the car we booked and will be refunding us. We called them to say we still needed a car and could they give us a different car. They said as the refund had been processed therefore they could not provide a replacement. We arrived in Norway with no way of getting to our accommodation. Luckily we were able to source a car through other means. The fun then started with the refund. The original cancellation message said we would receive the refund within 48 hours. That came and went. After contacting them again, they said they hadn't processed the refund until 4 days into our holiday so they lied to us. Now the refund was going to take 5-7 working days. This also came and went. In the end the refund for the rental took 26 days to reach our account.Safe to say i will never be using Alamo again.
