Their site claims orders are risk-free, but you can't cancel your subscription for three additional months after a trial. Very much a bait-and-switch pricing scam and a violation of the October 16, 2024, Federal Trade Commission (FTC) "Click-to-Cancel" Rule, which aims to make it easier for consumers to cancel subscriptions: • Cancellation process: Requires businesses to make it as easy to cancel a subscription as it was to sign up for it. The cancellation mechanism must be at least as simple as the method used to initiate the subscription. • Disclosure: Requires businesses to disclose the negative option and other terms of the transaction before obtaining a customer's billing information. • Consent: Requires businesses to obtain a customer's consent to the negative option. • Misrepresentations: Prohibits businesses from making any material misrepresentations related to the recurring product or service. • Recordkeeping: Requires businesses to keep records of consent. The rule applies to businesses that offer goods and services through: automatically renewing payment plans, free or discounted trials that convert into full plans, and other "negative" option features. No one should be forced to like something, especially when the About page clearly states "risk-free" ordering. Trial offers are fine, and common, but it is in fact illegal to force a non-disclosed three additional month, uncancelable, contract that is absolutely not abundantly transparent at the billing transaction stage. The pricing terms switch as well... Be forewarned.
