Promised better interest rates on maturity of my cash ISA but the 1 year rate was the same as for ANY customer. Rates for 2 and 3 year cash ISAs were 0.01% higher (that would be an extra £1 per annum based on a balance of £10,000) but those longer fix accounts had interest rates that were uncompetitive in the general market place anyway. Aldermore do not agree that this is misleading - I do, so have moved to another financial institution. Oh, and so has my wife. I’m sure that our combined 6 figure sum will not make any difference to Aldermore but I am happy to move on and seek an ethical financial institution, if one actually exists; if not I will move on again. For existing customers, just make sure that the interest rate that you sign up to is competitive and better than Aldermore are offering any Tom, D**k or Harry when they claim it is better.
