I'd been happy with Aldermore for several years but they utterly screwed up my opening an account for my mother with dementia (under a Lasting power of Attorney). They eventually admitted most of the faults but it was stress I did not need. Further, the latest "2 withdrawals a year" account I opened with them has seen the interest rate drop - even as they introduce new accounts with the same rules with higher interest rates. Basically, screwing over loyal investors. On my one year anniversary they make no mention that I could incease my interest rate by 0.6% by swapping to an account with them WITH THE SAME CONDITIONS. No Longer Happy.
