The product arrived with the outer packaging already open and unsealed, which immediately raised concerns about the product’s integrity and hygiene, especially for a fragrance/personal-use item. When I contacted customer service, this core issue was ignored. Instead of investigating why the item arrived in that condition, the discussion was redirected toward placing responsibility on the customer and classifying the situation as “change of mind”.
The responses were contradictory. I was told that briefly testing the product to verify its condition removes the right of return, even though a customer must reasonably be able to inspect an item when there is doubt about its state upon delivery. Internal policies were repeatedly referenced rather than addressing the actual problem or offering a practical solution.
The overall tone suggested an attempt to close the complaint rather than resolve it. No reasonable alternative, compensation, or genuine investigation was offered — only repeated statements shifting responsibility to the customer.
This kind of after-sales handling is concerning for any online purchase, because you effectively carry all the risk if the product arrives in questionable condition. I would strongly advise potential buyers to be cautious before ordering, especially if you expect fair support in case something goes wrong. The communication style from the person (Dave) handling the correspondence was notably unfriendly and dismissive, which gave the impression that resolving the issue was not a priority.
