I should mention that I didn't buy a car here; I only went for a viewing. The vehicle was a red model. I thoroughly examined the car and requested a test drive (which I had arranged beforehand). They allowed it, but only within their industrial area. While driving, I noticed a burning smell and a power steering warning light appeared. It disappeared when I restarted the car, but who knows if there's a bigger issue. When the salesperson became available, I asked for a longer test drive on a main road. His response was quite surprising; he claimed the local roads are all 20mph, making it impossible. He then said that allowing a longer test drive would reduce the car's value and he'd have to adjust the price if I didn't buy it. In all my years of car purchasing, I've never encountered such a statement. I tried to reason with him, explaining I had traveled a long distance, but he insisted he also had to commute far, which didn't concern me as a customer. He mentioned selling two cars in the previous hour under the same short test drive conditions, which didn't relate to my needs. In the end, I asked if there was any flexibility on the price, and he stated he 'wouldn't lower it by even a penny.' A shocking used car sales experience. Be cautious when buying from here. Ensure you are satisfied with all pre-checks and insist on a lengthy test drive. We were fortunate that the warning light appeared; it could have malfunctioned on our long drive home.
