So I went in for a cleaning, which I normally hate cause it feels so transactional and awkward. But from the second I walked in, everyone from the security guy to the lady at the front desk looked up and smiled a real smile, not a customer service one. The receptionist remembered my name from the booking and made a little joke about the weather which instantly broke the ice. I wasnt just a number. The dental hygienist, Ayshe I think her name was, was an absolute angel. She asked about my job, told me about her dog, and explained every single tool before she used it. ""Just a little mirror now, gonna feel cold,"" ""okay now some water,"" it felt so considerate. At one point I jumped a bit and she immediately stopped and was like ""you good? want a break?"" Nobody has ever asked me that at a dentist. It’s the little things that make you feel human. I left feeling genuinely good, not just ""glad its over."" Its hard to explain but the atmosphere is just warm. Like you're visiting a friends place who happens to be amazing at dentistry. Told my whole family about it. 😁
