Really disappointed in our experience at AllBarOne (York) - my sister is recovering from an 11 year eating disorder and is therefore careful about the food she chooses. We chose five small plates to share between us, and for two of the plates it didn’t specify on the menu that they were deep fried. They were the two plates she was going to have for her meal - we politely asked if they could swap it for something not deep fried (as they hadn’t been touched) and the manager told her she had to pay for a chicken breast. The lady wasn’t understanding about this sensitive issue, and blamed this on us for not asking questions about the food!When they finally brought the food out, I had finished my meal so overall it wasn’t an enjoyable experience. We will not be returning.
