I would be very careful with this interesting arrangement. It's obviously designed to take advantage of customers who are loyal and trust westpac.Unfortunately the number of people now suffering from this conduct is rapidly increasing. My policy was out of loyalty to the bank of Melbourne so I could try and have most products in the same place.The initial quote was a bit high, but for convenience I decided to proceed. My loyalty has been rewarded with continuing price increases.Over the duration my insurance has increased nearly 300% as the bank make up new premiums and take the money from my account.The insurance industry has a lot to answer for as they artificially Inflate premiums to take advantage of disadvantaged people.I fail to see how my disability or personal situation would be used to Increase the premium, I also don't understand how they justify taking nearly 20% of my income and say they are offering a service.The good news is that I had the policy cancelled today, the bad news was the treatment I received as a result.
