I had a very frustrating experience with Allianz. My car broke down over the weekend and, while the towing itself was handled without issue, I was shocked to discover there was a maximum towing distance of 20 km. Our usual mechanic is only 23 km away from where the car broke down, which made this limitation completely impractical.To make matters worse, when I called this morning to request a replacement car, I was told I was not eligible because the breakdown happened less than 30 km from my home address. This makes absolutely no sense—my car was immobilized, yet I was denied a substitution vehicle based on an arbitrary distance rule.The assistance feels more focused on fine print and restrictions than on actually helping customers when they need it most. Overall, a very disappointing experience that does not reflect the level of service one would expect from an insurance company like Allianz.
