I am insured with Allianz Care through my US employer. We pay a significant amount for this insurance, and until recently, the service had been good.However, the quality of service has deteriorated significantly since December last year. In addition to the unacceptably long processing times for each claim, I have observed that nearly every reimbursement request is initially rejected, often based on inconsistent arguments stating that the treatment is not covered by the policy. Following a second review, these same claims are often approved, which raises serious concerns about the accuracy and integrity of the initial assessment process.This pattern creates the impression that claims are being systematically rejected at first instance, regardless of their validity. Such practices are not acceptable, particularly when policyholders are clearly entitled to reimbursement under the terms of their policy.Furthermore, the handling of complaints is equally unsatisfactory. Reviews take several weeks, and reimbursement is delayed well beyond the timelines publicly committed to by Allianz Care (5 working days, or 48 hours for certain cases). These commitments appear to exist only in principle and are not respected in practice.Attempts to resolve these issues via Allianz Care hotline are unsuccessful. While representatives are courteous, they are unable to take any concrete action and refer to internal departments that remain inaccessible to clients.
