The roof leaks. It was done just before Christmas and has leaked continuously. I telephoned because they state that although they do a hose test it's not guaranteed to catch all rain conditions so it has an extended warranty. I found a warranty that said 2 years on the paperwork. Rang the company and was told no problem do it on line under our warranty form. I did what they said and the minute I started putting in the details it stated that to get someone to come out and even look at it would cost £295! Then it told me that I was only just claimed in the warranty time. It was at that point about 5 weeks from fitting and had leaked badly about three times, but I'd been very ill and my husband didn't have any details to be able to do anything himself. It doesn't only leak when it's raining, it's as if something collects and it continues leaking after the rain has stopped, we've had to keep a wide tub under it, in case it rains in the night. The panels themselves are doing their job, the room is a lot warmer in the winter. We just can't use it because the roof leaks. One period of rain in two hours it collected 1" rain in a wide tub. Their warranty site said they'd been caught too many times recently due to the storms, but this is not storm damage. It puts you off. Why should you pay £295 for them to come out and put their work right. Surely it's not fit for purpose. Another thing they told me was they'd had a struggle cleaning black marks off the piece that was leaking but when I was trying to ascertain whether the drip forming was a drip, I put a dry piece of kitchen towel on a stick to see how wet it was and notice that a light brush completely cleared all the black marks they'd left behind.
