My child was recently diagnosed with amblyopia and started using a covered program. Having dealt with the same issue since childhood, I decided to join in to support him and reflect on my own experience. I'm 39, so I didn’t expect miracles, but I’ve noticed some small improvements according to the program's measurements. The games are colorful and engaging, making the training more enjoyable. Some exercises are challenging for younger kids, but I find them easy, albeit a bit repetitive. Overall, I find this program better designed than the one my child is using. The program also arrived quickly, which was a nice surprise.
I found this software very beneficial for managing my daughter's condition. The sessions are short—15 minutes twice a day—and there's a reward system that keeps her motivated. However, I think some games might be too difficult for younger children, and a few more options would be great. It's a challenge to keep kids engaged with the same game every day. Five stars and highly recommended!
The app is engaging and entertaining for a 6 year old boy. Games are suitable for the age and even a child without digital experience can play. Prizes and badges are motivating. After 1000 played games, there is a certificate which was a great surprise. We haven't been to the ophthalmologist yet to witness if there is a result, but the play process has value for us too.
It feels so good to be doing something positive to support my daughters eyesight. My daughter who’s 6 sometimes struggles with the motivation to do this every sing day as it’s a lot to take on at her age. But the way they have designed it as a game where you win points and rewards has helped. She really loves moving up levels and earning new characters. It’s good that you can also chose the games you like and switch off the ones you don’t. This has also helped her to engage more. I wasn’t too pleased with the quality of the required glasses. Both arms snapped off the first pair we got so I had to buy another pair and they are not cheap. Overall I am pleased we are doing it and I am looking forward to see if it’s making a positive impact at our next Optomotrists appointment.
Amblyoplay is amazing. It has helped two of our kids (ages 9 and 5) improve their visual acuity tremendously. In fact, in just over 8 months, our 5 year old moved from 30% to 100% in visual acuity, and our 9 year old is up to 95% and still improving. The customer service has done so much to help us and they have been incredibly responsive. This company and app is helping families in a critical way and I highly recommend them.
I am impressed with the offering from AmblyoPlay, as I have not encountered many systems like it. Being able to coordinate my treatment with a connected health provider means that I can discuss progress and adjust training accordingly. The treatment is valuable both from an immediate eye training perspective as well as simply a deep insight into how each eye behaves when placed under more complex inputs than a typical real world or in-optometrist-office scenario can reproduce over time. There is room for improvement; the training is very much tailored for children and simple eye challenges. I am of the opinion that the system could be varied to be much more convenient to adults, and present more suitable binocular challenges for those where the training eye has different needs, such as adequate vision but insufficient binocular convergence. More complex visuals in their games would help here, as well as less time wasted in the game design in terms of prompts.
We have subscribed to AblyoPlay to try to correct the lazy eye of our son. We are waiting to see the outcome at the next check-up with the eye doctor. The app is weel designed, stable and fluid. The games for my child (5 yr) are pretty funny but it would be good to introduce more (maybe as sumo volley?). It's good to have the option to disable those not suited to his abilities. Good the the reward system.
I started using AmblyoPlay six months ago to help with my lazy eye, and it has been a great experience. The best part is that I can do the exercises at home, and they only take about 30 minutes a day. The games are fun, which makes it easy to stay motivated. At first, I wasn’t sure if it would work, but after a few weeks, I noticed that my vision was improving. My eyes started working together better, and I could see more clearly. The progress tracking also helped me stay on track and see how much I was improving.Overall, AmblyoPlay has really helped me, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their vision in a simple and effective way. It’s easy to use, and I’m happy with the results so far.
