Review Time
I had a good experience with American Van Lines. The movers arrived on time and handled our belongings carefully, and the overall process was smooth. Communication was generally clear, though there were a couple of times I had to follow up for updates. Overall, solid service and I’d recommend them for a reliable move.
They were the most unprofessional worst company ever. They made my husband sign a non-disclosure agreement because they tried to charge us an extra $1k mid-cross country move and made him SIGN A NEW CONTRACT UNDER DURESS. Then we were told someone would call us about "compensation" but never were. Red flags, run far away. I didn't sign an NDA and you are better off going U-Haul style. Grapes of Wrath. Anyone but these crooked people.
They under quoted us over 2k but at this point we had no choice but to pay because the movers were already there. It took them about it a week and a half to deliver our things and we noticed several of our items were broken. They were not very helpful in regards to under quoting us and our stuff went through way too many people.
Movers showed up early on the first day promised of the 3 day window. They worked efficiently and were very careful with our furniture and other belongings. Everything was delivered promptly the next morning to our new location. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.
Edward (the driver) did a great job with his communication and being where he said he would be at any time.Junior might not have exactly known how the process worked and/or communicated it correctly such as which day the packers would be at our house, how long it would take and when our household goods would be delivered. That made it difficult in knowing what day we could be at our closing on the home. The guys that did the packing did a good job and the guys that unloaded the truck did a phenomenal job and had it done quickly.Deanna also did great communicating with us and checking in to see how it was going.
American van lines was very professional from the moment I called. They were also very efficient-- on call, we went through inventory and within a short time had an estimated cost which was only revised by veteran discount and senior discount. Moving date range was established and actually scheduled through logistics. The $ did not change. The dates for move were refined as we got close to moving date. Driver was assigned a specific date and he showed up when scheduled. The driver was the ultimate professional. He an his co worker, padded all furniture and loaded the furniture. Delivery date ranged were set and met with exact date and time which was communicated by driver a day before arrival of furniture. Everything was moved in, unwrapped, and placed where we wanted. The driver made the move seamless. Thank you for your professional service. I definitely recommend American Van Lines for anyone moving (large load of small load) I moved from TX to CA
