I have been ordering from Ames Walker for years without any problems. This recent order went poorly. Initially, I returned 9 sets of compression hose and asked for a higher compression level. Ames Walker reshipped but sent the wrong size. When I called them about it, they were very defensive, saying I had changed the size. They sent me a free shipping return label by email. Little did I know it would take almost 2 weeks for them to get the return and then another 3 days to get the correct items. I had to call several times. I asked if they could just resend the correct items while waiting for the return. I could only do this if I paid for another order ($160.00 each time!). I would have expected them to 1. Advise me their return label would mean a 2 week transit time from Ohio to NC 2. Shipped out the proper items while waiting for the return 3. Have accepted more responsibility for sending the incorrect size.
This experience has caused me to change my purchasing habits and consider alternatives.
