Review Time
I used the original tallow & honey balm for 3 nights on my face. Woke up to 2 huge pimples (beside the nose and right temple) and greasy face , which didn't happen the nights before. I stopped using the balm on the face. Currently using it every other day on hands only as a moisturiser. I don't think I'll use it again on the face as I like my face clean and clear. I gave one jar to my cousin, but his skin didn't accept the tallow either after 2 nights.This tallow is all natural by the ingredients list, but for the oils used it doesn't mention if those are essential oils, extracts or tinctures, if are certified organic + pesticide free, or in which percentage.I, personally, don't think there's any point in adding so many oils to this tallow, because that's clearly only for the scent purpose. I know that tallow is highly comedogenic, but I had higher expectations after reading all great reviews and I thought it might be a very light formula that could work with my mixed skin.I'm writing this honest review here instead of sending an email to the company as requested, because I'm trying to help other women out there with similar skin like mine not waste their money, time and skin condition.
Really pleased with the results of this, Ive been using it for two weeks so far. I purchased the unscented Tallow and Honey balm which I use on my face morning and night. I wouldn't really say that I suffer from any one skin complaint, my skin is combination, but all through my adult life the skin on my face suffers during the winter months.... it becomes super sensitive and dry and red....and in recent years ive been experimenting with natural skincare which has helped massively, but I think Ive finally found my holy grail! My skin isnt as dry and as irritated as it would normally be this time of year, and it has definitley helped with some fine lines and the texture of my skin on my face. It does need warming between your fingers before applying to the face, once on it absorbs fairly easily. Never under estimate the power of nature! Ive also noticed when using it in the mornings an hour or so before getting ready for work, that it sits quite well underneath makeup. Delivery was super quick, I will definitely be ordering some more in the future! I wish you guys the very best and hope you go from strength to strength and stick around for years to come!
I really love this product (the tallow honey balm). I’m 39 and my wrinkles seemed to be setting in, despite using loads of different serums and moisturisers every day. I’ve been using this for about two months (day and night) and it’s really softened out any fine lines and made them much less noticeable. I use it underneath my makeup and it’s stopped make up settling into my creases, which was happening with other products. It leaves you with a dewy finish which I really like. A little bit goes a long way and I’m less than halfway down my first tub. I just bought three more tubs in the Black Friday sale.
Both my wife and I just started using the Tallow & Honey balm for the last month and a half. My skin type is oily, her's is normal but sensitive. We both were a little skeptical at first and thought it would make us break out a little, but it didn't. It actually cleared up some imperfections that I had. We both love it! We actually stopped using all of our other products, except for our nightly eye cream. We usually use it twice a day, especially when you come out of the shower and your pores are better and ready to absorb all the ingredients. We both highly recommend it.
Following up with my review of bad packaging . I get prompt apology reply from the company this time for inconvenience and told me to send a replacement of the broken product. I will post when I get the replacement and see if there are changes on the packaging. They could have better packaging really knowing that the products they are selling in glass container. Don’t get me wrong, the product is good but I don’t like the hassle of doing this , taking my time to post and write. And check if my Concern have been seen. Time is precious.
I originally ordered the scented tallow, which was really good, but since I have very sensitive skin, I decided to seek some advice from Ancestral Cosmetics. They kindly recommended I try the unscented version instead. It arrived so quickly and worked perfectly for me — I couldn’t be happier, and my skin has never felt more comfortable! Thank you guys.. especially Travis McCauley for your advice.
