Having moved to Stranraer in November 2020 we realised our 49/50 year old kitchen needed renewal so visited Andersons Stranraer. They have a very good showroom for a small town. We arranged for the designer to visit our home. He could see exactly what needed to be done. Some 10 days later we visited the showroom and confirmed pricing and technical details of the order and made a deposit. Then Covid struck. For many weeks we heard nothing and it took several phone calls to establish what was happening.Finally tradesmen were allowed to enter homes and the work began in June.Although a small kitchen the number of boxes of materials was huge and had to be stored in garage. Note you need somewhere dry safe and secure to store all this stuff. The team arrived on a Monday and the work finished on Friday.The existing kitchen was torn out on Monday and debris removed by Andersons on Tuesday. The standard of the units and worktops we found to be very high and the workmanship of installing the new units was exceptionally high though we still waiting for a macerator to be installed. We have to complete tiling and painting and plaster repair on our own but Andersons have helped us find local suppliers. Overall costs have been reasonable.
