I was offered a free photoshoot which I was delighted about. Arrival was great, girl behind the desk was friendly and we were offered a drink. I went to get my make-up done. The girl who did it was friendly, however seemed nervous. I asked for brown/goldy natural tones as I don’t wear loads of make up. The skin was lovely, the eyeshadow was ok (I asked her to tone it down a little) but the eyeliner was really messy and untidy. I asked her to try and fix it but felt a bit bad complaining as she didn’t seem confident or maybe there wasn’t time to re-do it? I tried to re-do it myself. Photographer was a nice person but could tell we were really on the clock as it was rapid and used a lot of props, I kept asking for more photos without props as I felt they were a bit cheesy (fake flowers and pearls). The viewing the following day was comfortable and I thought I would be really keen to purchase the photos but I really disliked them all to the point I didn’t really want any. This was probably an accumulation of not liking the make-up and the props. I did see other people getting really beautiful photos so I am assuming this is just my personal experience. If I had of paid for it I would have been disappointed with the outcome but as it was free it was fine. Unfortunately the photos did not make me feel good but again this is my own experience, other people were definitely pleased with theirs. The day after the viewing the photographer text me to say she was working on my photos …. So maybe my photos weren’t edited properly for my viewing and that contributed to how the images turned out?
