Crazy expensive, costs half a monthly wage for small amount of photos…

I went as a competition winner through instagram (which most ppl who seem to be customers are these “winners”) and I was super excited having never had an experience like this and struggling a lot with my body confidence since I got a giant cyst on my ovary which has made me bloat and gain a lot of extra weight. I mentioned this to my photographer when she asked how I was feeling and she didn’t say much in return just “aw” so then I felt silly for sharing however most people said how they loved sharing their story however that wasn’t the case for me. ANYWAY, the biggest factor is that even though you won they still charge an extortionate amount for photos with the minimal charge being like £645 for 10 digital copies!! But don’t worry they offer finance so you can pay monthly for pictures of yourself lol. I did some research and found a photographer that does boudoir shoots with hair and makeup and 20 digital copies for £150 so please shop around before actually booking this. She also looked like she had a luxury set and great reviews. The hair and makeup I had done I rated low when I was there on the forms they make you fill out, I had to ask my makeup to be blended a good few times, I mentioned I had lash extensions and to be careful and that I wanted a Smokey eyeshadow and instead I got black gel liner and brown eyeshadow which fell all onto my lashes and made them basically grey. I filled out in the form that my skin was sensitive and dry and I think these are a waste of time as the makeup artist again asked me about my skin etc but aren’t they supposed to read those ahead of time? The makeup brush smelled like alcohol and when she put the foundation on my skin it started to sting my broken skin and little breakout area. My breakout wasn’t covered properly and I had to touch up in the bathrooms. My eyebrows weren’t filled in at all and in general it was just lacking. My hair oh dear, I asked for beach waves and got ringlet curls, seeing as the only hair tool they have is a straightener which she used to curl my hair. I said how my hair is thick and dense and how I wanted light waves as ringlet curls get all puffy and frizzy. I wasn’t listened to. It all also felt super rushed and fast and we were 20 mins late into the hair and makeup also even tho we got there like 15 mins early. During the photoshoot Abigail was really friendly however mentioned the AC was broken and had the window open so I ended up getting quite sweaty and my hair got frizzy. During the photo reveal the next day I was sad to see half of my photos I hated as my hair was frizzy, stuck to my forehead and puffy. Touch ups you’d expect in a “luxury” studio. Also in so many photos one of my outfits had twisted and wasn’t centred so again half of the photos were wasted as I hated that, I mentioned that in the viewing that the photographer should have noticed this and fixed it. The packages are crazy expensive and they try sell you with some copyright license where I’m not being funny but id assume I can post photos of myself online regardless haha. I ended up just getting my free print and leaving. The studio is nice and decorated well however overall there’s better options out there.
