I purchased a 14K white gold chain from Angara about 5 months ago for my birthday. I’ve only worn it 3–4 times, each for just 2–3 hours, yet it has already turned noticeably dark. It now looks more like sterling silver than 14K white gold.I compared it with my other 10K and 14K white gold chains from other brands—including different chain styles—and the difference is clear. None of my other white gold pieces have ever tarnished like this. When I contacted Angara, they claimed the darkness/discoloration was due to “different chain styles,” but that explanation doesn’t hold up. After that, they stopped responding entirely.I can’t get past how disappointing this experience has been. I’m now planning to replace the chain with a 10K white gold one from Kay or Zales. I’ve owned several white gold pieces from those stores and never had any issues.I also purchased a pearl necklace from Angara for my niece’s birthday a couple of months ago—fingers crossed that chain holds up better. But I won’t be purchasing from this site again.I don’t know if this review will go through or not—some sites seem to block honest reviews—but I hope it helps future customers.—Sharon
