Nature of complaint: Unauthorized charges — Triple billing error — 7 days without resolution

On March 19, 2026, my account was charged $100 three times consecutively at the same time, without my authorization. These charges correspond to three "Gift Pro" subscriptions that I never purchased, requested, or authorized in any way. I did not initiate any gift purchase. My actual subscription plan costs $20/month and I only authorized one charge of $20. The total unauthorized amount is $300 USD.

This is not an isolated incident. Multiple users have reported the same billing bug publicly, including a case where a user was charged 26 times in one day (January 28, 2026), and another case of double billing confirmed as a system bug in February 2026. This appears to be a recurring, systemic problem with Anthropic's payment processing system.

ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE DIRECTLY WITH ANTHROPIC (7 days, no resolution):

1. March 19, 2026: Opened support case through official chat. No human response received after 7 days. Chat remains frozen.
2. March 26, 2026: Opened second support case via email. Anthropic's own support bot acknowledged the billing error in writing and offered to escalate to a human specialist. No human ever followed up.
3. March 26, 2026: Sent escalation email to support referencing both open cases. No response.
4. March 26, 2026: Posted public complaint on Anthropic's official X account (@AnthropicAI). No response.

DESIRED RESOLUTION:
1. Full refund of $300 USD — the entire amount charged without authorization
2. Confirmation of who received the three unauthorized "Gift Pro" subscriptions and immediate cancellation of those gifts
3. Written guarantee that no additional unauthorized charges will be applied to my account
4. Clear timeline for resolution

I have initiated a formal dispute with my bank and will be filing a complaint with the CFPB if this matter is not resolved promptly.

DOCUMENTATION AVAILABLE:
- Bank statement showing 3 consecutive unauthorized charges of $100 on March 19, 2026 at the same time
- Billing page screenshot showing 3 "Gift Pro" entries marked as "Delivered" — none of which were authorized
- Official email from Anthropic's support bot acknowledging the billing error in writing
- Full email thread showing 7 days of ignored support requests
- Public GitHub issues from other affected users documenting the same systemic billing bug
