Trackers that use mobile signal don’t work in my local forest where I walk my three dogs off lead every day. Arkouler doesn’t require a mobile signal so was an obvious choice for us. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and feel that I’ve road tested it for long enough to give an informed review. Sadly (or happily) I haven’t lost my dog since I bought it so I haven’t had to use it in such an emergency. But, providing I take a minute at the start of the walk to wave the controller around to ensure that the tag and controller are both linked to GPS, I know the location of my dog at all times. This is immensely reassuring. My lab loves water, so I’ve been relieved that (thus far) the tag’s immersion hasn’t stopped it working. I use it for roughly 3 hours a day and charge the controller and tag twice a week. Price-wise it works out only a tiny bit more expensive than a mobile phone app tracker once you’ve paid the monthly subscriptions. I’m very pleased with my Arkouler and would highly recommend.
