I looked for an AA approved dealer as it’s a well known brand and I thought behind that brand there was substance - standards and safety. Along with that I purchased AA warranty just in case something went wrong.Car turned out to be a complete lemon - catastrophic failure after 1500 miles driven. Dealer shakes off any responsibility- AA can’t help as even though he is still associated with them he is not at the same time? The safety net being the warranty - they require proof of failure which sits in the engine - I’m supposed to pay for an engine breakdown (£1000) just so I could submit a claim. From my perspective and the mechanic I went to - completely unreasonable - might as well have thrown the £600 in the well and wished a wish as it would be as reassuring as AA warranty. Will stay away from anything AA branded for the rest of my life - 2 months in and nothing. Take a week to reply.
