Be very cautious when buying from Arctic Cabins (AC), after doing my research I decided to go with AC even though it was much more expensive than their competitors. My reasoning was down to warranty, AC offered a 10 year warranty on most of the cabin if it was assembled by their approved contractors, due to the price of these structures I felt the extra money would be worth it.On contacting AC they provided details of their Scottish distributors who were Scotia Cabins, I bought a 10m cabin which was installed November 2022.In 2025 AC stopped using Scotia as their Scottish distributor, leaving a void north of the border.Just over 3 years from having the cabin installed I discovered the plywood pelmets which form the lower part of the roof were rotting with major water ingress. This appears to be a common issue with these cabins with various discussion on the subject on a number of Facebook pages.On contacting Scotia I was advised this was a manufacturer issue and advised to contact AC for assistance. AC customer service was worse than useless, obviously they no longer have agents covering Scotland and are not prepared to honour their guarantee that they claim come with an anpproved installation. Eventually after involving Trading Standards they have agreed to provide the parts but won’t fund the labour costs, although we will have to wait and see if the parts actually arrive. I will update this review accordingly and may make a video for my YouTube channel when the issue is resolved.Very poor service from a company that apparently prides itself on the quality of its cabins, my advice would be look at the cheaper options, they are just good! Also any negative comments on their owners facebook group which they admin will get you banned (they don’t appreciate honest feedback).I have given them 2 stars rather than 1 as apart from the poor quality of materials they use for the roof, the rest of the structure seems fine (after 3 years anyway)In reply to Arctic Cabins response: Thanks AC for taking the time to reply to my honest and frank review, shame you couldn't do so on your Facebook owners club page, but I guess there you can control unfavourable reviews by banning members. A couple of points which I believe you are not in dispute of1. On contacting yourselves when I was in the market to purchase a cabin, you provided me the details of Scotia Cabins who you told me were your representatives for Scotland.2. You supplied Scotia Cabins with the cabin, thus you are there manufacturer.3. I never said Trading Standards had contacted yourself, I contacted them for advice, gave them the full circumstances and they advised me that the installer (Scotia Cabins) are responsible for the first 6 months after installation, then the manufacturer (yourselves) are responsible for any further guarantee period after the 6 months. The chap said it was like purchasing a Samsung phone from Amazon, Samsung are responsible for warranty repairs.
