I rang Ariston because my thermostat stopped working at less than a year old. I was advised that it was under guarantee and that the engineer would contact me. He rang and told me that they guaranteed boilers but not thermostats. I asked about purchasing a new one and was told to contact my local engineers. NOT helpful at all.I then contacted Ariston again and put in a complaint. They asked several questions and requested photographs, which I supplied. ( I would like to point out that I registered the system with Ariston when I moved into a new build bungalow so they already had all the details ) They then passed me on to a third party company who came out to fit a new thermostat. I have no complaints about the lady engineer who came out - she was really good - full marks for her. The whole process took 4/6 weeks. Unacceptable !!!! Also if I had not complained, Ariston would not have been any assistance at all and I would have ended up buying a new thermostat and had to pay for fitting.
