The plugs work as advertised, they are quiet, but yet you can hear talk and the engine noise, at lower speeds, higher speeds they act like any other good earplug, keep things quiet. The only downside was one day the little rubber tip cam off in my ear, it was a bit to remove, but no biggie. I would also mention that you can leave these things in all day with no discomfort, and that is great.
